Recently, the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) UK Affiliate welcomed a return to its board from one of the key leaders in the Biopharmaceutical sector of Liverpool: Jodie Winder, Senior Process Engineer at TriRx. Jodie’s original election to the ISPE UK Affiliate board in April 2023 marked a significant moment for both her career and the future of pharmaceutical engineering in the UK.

The ISPE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering scientific, technical, and regulatory advancements across the pharmaceutical lifecycle. Since its inception, ISPE has been at the forefront of connecting pharmaceutical knowledge to drive manufacturing and supply chain innovation, operational excellence, and regulatory insights. The UK Affiliate, established in 1988/89, played a pivotal role in expanding ISPE’s presence throughout Europe and has since grown to approximately 900 members.

 

 

Jodie’s journey with ISPE began when she was elected to the board in April 2023, assuming her position in June of the same year. As a Senior Process Engineer at TriRx, Jodie brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. Her dedication to excellence and her commitment to advancing the pharmaceutical industry make her an invaluable asset to the ISPE UK Affiliate.

 

One of Jodie’s key responsibilities on the board is serving as the Chair of the Emerging Leaders initiative. This role encompasses representing young professionals in the pharmaceutical industry and spearheading events and initiatives tailored to their needs. From students to recent graduates, Jodie ensures that emerging leaders have a voice within ISPE and opportunities for professional development.

 

 

The UK Board, organizes a wide array of events and initiatives for ISPE members across the country. These include evening seminars, conferences, and networking events designed to facilitate knowledge exchange, collaboration, and professional growth within the pharmaceutical engineering community.

 

Jodie’s tenure on the board extends until June 2025, during which she will continue to champion the interests of emerging leaders and contribute to the advancement of the pharmaceutical engineering field. Her passion for empowering the next generation of industry professionals is evident in her dedication to creating impactful events and initiatives that foster growth and innovation.
